Fondation Jeannine Manuel

Fifty years ago, Jeannine Manuel started the Ecole Active Bilingue with twelve students and a dream: to develop international understanding through bilingual (French/English) education for a multinational student community. Since then, over fifteen thousand students have been fortunate enough to benefit from this education; as adults, they live all over the world and contribute to the cause of international understanding. Today, almost 2 900 students are enrolled at EABJM’S five campuses in Paris and in Lille.

The Fondation Jeannine Manuel was created under the aegis of the Fondation de France to bring to the school the financial support it needs to continue to be at the forefront of pedagogical innovation while continuing to serve the school’s mission to educate the future citizens of the world.

The unique EABJM experience continues to require significant investment in scholarship aid, capital improvements and research projects/curriculum development by our faculty. As shown in the pie charts presented below, tuition, together with the support of the Education Nationale and other regional and local subsidies, covers your school’s operating budget. But this is not adequate to support the growing number of scholarship, capital and research initiatives planned for the future. The Foundation, to which contributions by parents, alumni, and corporations are tax-deductible in France, the United States and most European countries, will be able to make gifts to support these initiatives.
